Introducing a comfortable ground floor apartment with a stunning waterfront garden sleeping four guests alongside two dogs in between the popular destination of Instow and Bideford. Offering a number of shops, eateries and bars within walking distance and a fantastic base for exploring the unspoiled beauty of the North Devon coast.

The ground floor apartment is one of four in a small block, offering a peaceful stay along the coast. As you step inside, you’ll find the open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner, offering ample space for the whole group to enjoy this home away from home following a day of exploring the coast. There are two bright and airy bedrooms offering plenty of space to unwind, alongside a good-sized family bedroom. Outside, you can make the most of an attractive garden complete with BBQ and furniture, set right on the river itself and offering unspoiled views across the estuary to Instow. With direct access to the beach you are able to launch your own canoes.

With quaint cafes, country pubs, galleries and a number of shops along the seafront, you may not need to stray too far. However, during the summer months, you can hop on the ferry at Instow across to the neighbouring fishing village that is Appledore or drive just 3.5 miles to reach it by road. The seaside destination of Westward Ho! is home to restaurants, bars, arcades and a pebble ridge beach sits just 2 miles away, as does the popular market town of Bideford. For picturesque dog walks, venture 12 miles along the coast to visit Clovelly or venture into Cornwall, travelling just 26 miles to the tourist town of Bude.

Would definitely recommend this Place to anyone who was thinking of booking Chircombe Moorings comfortable , Beautiful location, total tranquility, and just a stones throw to all amenities, Supermarket, Bideford Town Westward Ho, Instow , some lovely walks . Simple but comfortable apartment. Great location on the estuary, particularly for birdwatchers. Next to the A39 bridge but isnt really obtrusive. Hosts were helpful. Well worth the money

This was our second visit to this property, and as before very clean and comfortable. Our dog especially loved the fact that it was all on one level. You get value for money as it is not overpriced like some of the other properties nearby. In a great spot with lovely views of the river and only a short walk into Bideford town. We stayed for a long weekend and had an excellent time enjoying the fun of rowing regatta from the garden of the cottage; cycling along the Tarka trail; and some excellent food in the old town (le petit monde, Cooper Street)

What a little gem! We loved staying here, the accommodation was super, roomy, comfortable and clean, and the location perfect. We spent many hours just sitting watching the tide, wildlife and boats on the estuary. Many thanks to the hosts, we didnt want to leave!!

This cottage is perfect to explore the local area and its amazing beaches. It was really clean and covered all our needs with the most beautiful views. We did a walk from our garden into Appledore along the river which was lovely all the way. It had everything we needed for us, 2 young children and a dog. Very spacious clean and quirky (part of an older building) apartment but approach and outside space could do with some TLC. Nice views of the river but no beach as described in other reviews. Location for walking into Bideford is good. Great for Dog Walking

Large nice cottage in a very old building. Easy access to local facilities and walks. Direction don't make it clear that you drive through the private access path with old stone pillars either side but you do.

Great apartment that was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely views of the river and a short walk into Bideford town and park. In a good spot for dog walking and central for exploring Bude and Barnstaple.

A warm, friendly welcome from the very helpful host. Apartment was more spacious than expected, was well equipped and comfortable. The apartment is in a beautiful location, on the banks of the river. We happily watched the boats, paddle boarders ands other users come and go with the tide. Its in an ideal location, for walking part of the South West Coastal path to Appledore, Bideford and beyond, with both Instow and Westward Ho! Beaches just a short drive away. We enjoyed our stay here, family of 4 with 2 teens and a dog. Big space inside, easy parking. River beautiful and changing. Quiet, despite bridge above. Our dog is well behaved & comes when called so we allowed her to run freely up the driveway in the morning, but no gate before road so bear that in mind.
