This beautiful cottage, situated inside the Brecon Beacons National Park, is the perfect getaway for couples – including up to two four-legged friends! Hosted in a large, romantic bedroom complete with a dressing room, it won’t be long before you’re out exploring the fantastic walks in the Brecon Beacons straight from the doorstep. Leave the pups in the crates provided and head to the treatment studio for a relaxing restorative treatment to add a luxury element to your stay, before heading outside to the terrace for an al fresco drink as you watch the sun go down.
The property, which is set on a private estate, within a large communal meadow that’s perfect for dog walks, is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is elegant and contemporary, making preparing meals a joy, while exposed beams and plush sofas in the lounge beckon you to sink back in front of the wood burner with your canine by your feet. The bedroom lends a boutique feel to your stay; wake up surrounded by soft, luxurious decor and get dressed in the sumptuous dressing room before heading down to the dining area for a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day.
If you don’t fancy cooking, there’s a cosy, dog-friendly pub with plenty of locally-sourced food just 1.5 miles away or head into Brecon (4 miles) for even more choice. Let the pups sniff around geologically-significant Garwnant, where there are plenty of walks and trails from the visitor centre (17 miles). If fishing is more your thing, grab a permit for the River Usk in Crickhowell (13 miles) and take a wander around the castle while you’re there. Or if you’re after something more energetic, rent canoes in Glasbury (14 miles) and take a trip down the River Wye.
