This is an attractive family-friendly cottage in the Shropshire hills. Sleeping up to six people and two dogs, it’s great for large and small families alike. There are almost endless country walks right from the front door and the owners’ fields are right next to the property, so you’ll have no need to drive anywhere to wear out those paws in the morning. For longer walks and days out, the nearby Clee Hills has lots of fabulous walking trails with views to match.
Inside, the property is beautifully looked after and super-stylish, with lots of characterful original features including exposed beams. There is a spacious lounge with a wood burner where you can warm up after a day out stick-chasing, and a separate snug, which can also be used as a bedroom for both four and two-legged family members. The open-plan kitchen/diner has plenty of space to cook and eat, with a family dining table at its heart. Both the bedrooms have plenty of space and en-suite bathrooms with rainfall showers. Outside, you’ll find a sheltered courtyard with patio furniture where you can enjoy a sundowner while the dogs play or snooze at your feet.
The property is on the doorstep of the Shropshire Hills, around 8 miles away, and crossed with walking trails. The local highlight is that the bustling market town of Ludlow is just 3 miles away and is a great place for a wander, with lots of pubs where you can reward yourself with a drink and a meal after a long dog walk. It’s famous for its medieval ruined castle, once the home of Welsh kings. Dogs are welcome at the castle, and staff even leave bowls of water for them.
