Capture the castle with your favourite furry friends when you stay at this incredible property, near Kilmarnock in Ayrshire. The spectacular six-bedroom holiday home, which sleeps 16 guests and welcomes two dogs, is the wing of a castle. Roam the 600 acres of the gorgeous Scottish estate, which is steeped in history, with your ecstatic canines bounding about you.

From the beautiful exposed stonework and open fires to the sumptuous furnishings, you will not fail to be impressed by the accommodation, which is arranged over three storeys. Let Rex and Rover explore the ground floor as this will be their home during their stay. Follow them into the den, where you might read a book or play a game, and the elegant dining room where you will sit down to celebratory meals while they enjoy their own feasts in the kitchen. There is also a utility room, with a WC and a washing machine. The lounge, with its open fire and TV/DVD/radio/CD, is on the first floor together with a family bathroom and four of your bedrooms, all with en-suite bath or shower rooms. Some of these are on half-landings or have a split-level design. You’ll find a fifth bedroom on the second floor, up a spiral staircase; follow another spiral staircase up to the third floor and your sixth bedroom. On sunny days, spill out into the beautiful estate grounds: throw balls for your happy hounds and let them explore to their hearts’ content.

Take long walks with your furry friends through the beautiful Scottish countryside around you. Head into Dean Castle Country Park, less than 1 mile away, where you and your pups can walk by the river and enjoy refreshments in the cafe. Drive approximately 10 miles to find sandy beaches for everyone to enjoy.

We spent a wonderful time for a family reunion in the castle. Most rooms are very spacious with high ceilings, historical paintings and a wonderful view into the surrounding lawn and woods. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook for 16 people which we often did. Every room has its specific character, distinctive colour and wallpaper design, and manyRead more nooks and cupboards with a hidden toilet in them to discover! The dense and old forest around the house is perfect for a morning stroll. Beautiful! Hide

Stayed here with friends in November. What a fantastic place, well equipped, comfortable and so cozy. Adity was such a great host and were excited to go back soon
