Situated on a quiet country lane, your charming thatched cottage boasts single-storey accommodation that is warm and inviting for spending time together. With exposed beams and French doors leading onto the garden, the kitchen/diner is a light and airy space where you can prepare tasty family meals to share around the large dining table. After a busy day of outdoor activities, relax in the atmospheric sitting room with original brick stonework, polished wooden floors and a stunning beamed fireplace. Sink into one of the comfortable sofas and relax in front of your favourite TV programme while your hound snoozes in front of the wood burner. There are three large bedrooms, two doubles (one with en-suite) and a bunk room ideal for younger guests. Outside, enjoy a sociable BBQ on the patio while your pup stretches their paws on the lawn.

Take the lead along the South West Coast Path (3 miles) in search of picturesque coves and peaceful picnic spots. Spot wildfowl on a stroll around Arne Nature Reserve (11.5 miles), one of the few places in the UK where all six native reptiles can be found. Further afield, explore the beautiful gardens and grounds at Kingston Lacy (18.5 miles) where your pup will receive a special doggy treat in the cafe as they dine with you.

We had a fab stay at Carters Barn. The hosts have really thought of everything you might need and its very comfy and cosy. Great location for exploring the Jurassic coast but lovely and peaceful too. A lovely cottage in a fabulous, peaceful location; wonderfully equipped in all areas, including games and lots of books! Also Netflix and other Apps available and a tv and Alexa in every room! We really enjoyed our weekend at Carter's Barn and it was a perfect spot for exploring the coast and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We were blessed with sunshine both days which was a bonus in late January. The barn is well equipped and was easy to find. Highly recommend.

This is a fantastic cottage in a very rural and quiet location. The garden is compact but still has room for off road parking, Our granddaughter is autistic so the safety of the enclosed garden was fantastic! Lots of birds in the garden too!
