Explore the outstanding beauty of the landscape on bike or foot, or head to the historical spa town of Buxton for a spot of culture in the town’s opera house. Visit the impressive country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall to learn about their fascinating history, or get the adrenaline pumping on a ride at Alton Towers.   There are some other places of special interest in the locality like Thor’s Cave, Hartington and the Manifold Visitor Centre.
