A simply beautiful country cottage inviting guests to catch up on quality time and relax in style. Ideally situated for uncovering the area's rich, diverse countryside and moorland.
Settle in for a comfortable stay with your favourite furry friend at this inviting cottage for six at High Birstwith in Yorkshire. Nestled in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the handsome, three-bedroom stone barn has been beautifully converted to offer elegant accommodation and all the creature comforts you will require. Head off on long walks through the undulating countryside and follow trails over moors and hills. Return to enjoy quality time with your perfect pet in front of a glowing wood burner.
Enter your impressive barn to find a lavish finish throughout and underfloor heating in the living areas. Call Rex through into the lounge while you watch TV, read a book or listen to music; see if he will follow you through into the snug, where there is a second TV. Take a few steps up into the kitchen/diner, with its stone floor, to feed him his dinner and cook up a treat for yourselves. One of your three bedrooms and its wet room is situated on the ground floor, while two more – one with an en-suite shower room and the other with an en-suite bathroom – are on the floor above. Sit out on the patio with Rex while you get the BBQ sizzling. Explore your immediate farmland surroundings with him on a lead as there is livestock.
Pick up the Nidderdale Way at Birstwith, approximately 1 mile from your outstanding cottage. Take Rex with you to follow as much of the route as his lively legs and your own can manage. The 53-mile long route is circular, starting and finishing at Pateley Bridge and following the River Nidd. Head 6 miles to the Fewston Reservoir for walks varying in length, from under 0.5 miles to 6 miles by the water’s edge and through woodland.
