  • Excellent location for exploring the beaches of the North Norfolk coast and the many attractions that Norfolk has to offer
Property code: NCC14

A traditional cottage offering comfortable accommodation for three guests, located in the much-loved Georgian market town of Holt, just 4 miles from Norfolk's northern coastline.

Set tails wagging with an unforgettable escape to the beautiful Georgian town of Holt, based in a cosy bolthole brimming with homely comforts. Sleeping up to three guests across two snug bedrooms, it’s a charming location for small families or couples with plenty of room for one faithful hound.

The property opens directly onto a delightful open-plan living space, consisting of a comfortable lounge, well-equipped kitchen and a dining area with enough seating for four hungry guests. The overall decor is a cheerful country-cottage style complete with traditional furnishing. It’s also extremely practical, with wipe-clean floors downstairs and a handy shower over bath in the upstairs bathroom to avoid any muddy paw disasters! The bedrooms are irresistible after a busy day exploring, with a good-sized double and an adjacent single with a day bed. Stepping outside, there’s a compact but pretty seating area for al fresco drinks, and parking for one car opposite. The village shops and a friendly pub are within half a mile, ideal for nights where you fancy a change from cooking. The cottage regrettably doesn’t have a washing machine, but there is a useful launderette service in the nearby Budgens convenience store where you can wash while you shop.

Holt is known for its rich history and hidden yards packed with quirky boutiques, pretty cafes, antique shops and art galleries. The Great Fire of 1708 destroyed most of the original town, which was then rebuilt with Georgian architecture. The heritage railway runs between here and Sheringham on the Poppy Line, which also has an interesting museum based in the town itself - Fido is very welcome to join in on the fun too! Holt Country Park, 0.5 miles away, is a beautiful place to wander with an abundance of exciting trails.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Cosy & well equipped, with its own parking space, & very handy for all the amenities in Holt. A great base for exploring North Norfolk.

The cottage was perfect. We had everything we needed. It was home from home with all the little touches that weren't screwed down. It is a home that seems loved. Our dog ( Archie ) settled in straight away and even failed to miss the 4 cats opposite and the kitten next door. We will definitely be back next year. The 40's weekend was amazing.

Lovely cottage in the centre of Holt within walking distance of shops, restaurants and pubs. Shame no garden or area to sit outside and if youre not use to road noise beware the A148 is busy at night and close by.
