This immaculately presented cottage sits prettily on the side of a canal on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. With easy waggy-tailed walks straight from the front door along the towpath or more challenging hikes in the nearby hills, this is a delightful area for a couple or small family looking for a break with their beloved pet.
Three stone steps lead up to the front door. Inside you will be delighted by the fresh, elegant decor. The dual-aspect sitting room is wonderfully light and warm with a central heating and has lovely canalside views where you and your canine companion can relax and watch the boats drift slowly past. The kitchen and dining area are decorated in a charming country style, with pine and cream-coloured furniture. Upstairs you will find a cosy, romantic, double room with a sloping ceiling and also a pretty single room, both decorated in gentle, floral patterns. Outside there is a private patio area with handy, direct access to the towpath.
The Brecon Beacons is a stunning landscape of mountains, lakes and waterfalls, with pretty villages and cosy pubs to explore at your leisure. The little town of Abergavenny is just 3 miles away, and has several castles, great restaurants and shops worth visiting. The Blaeneavon World Heritage Site, just 5 miles south, offers a fascinating insight into the industrial history of Wales.
