With its interesting history, this captivating house provides a retro-style kitchen, refurbished in 2018. Relax and make use of the full facilities, with floors geared to take muddy paws. In the large formal lounge, sit back in front of the beautifully restored wood burner, which your pets will adore, and imagine times past. Check out the fun artwork, the grand chandelier, and relax in the fabulous bath with its funky exposed pipes. Outside, there are large enclosed, shared grounds with a mixture of lawns, fields and woodland, where your four-legged friends can run free. The owners also have dogs so they will welcome yours with open arms. Canine capers are likely! As the grounds and outdoors facilities are shared with another property please ensure you are mindful of social distancing guidelines when using them.
The property is set in the grounds of a historic battle scene, creating a real sense of the past. It also has easy access to sandy beaches and the unspoilt ancient market town of Cardigan (4 miles), home of the first Eisteddfod with its narrow streets and castle remains. It is near the dog-friendly golden sandy beach at Poppit Sands (5 miles), with level access and lovely walks. The popular estuary village of St Dogmaels (3 miles) offers independent shops, waterside dog-friendly pubs and tearooms. If you are feeling more adventurous, try the rapidly growing sport of power-kiting. Lots of coastal villages are waiting to be discovered, such as Aberporth (10 miles) and the UK’s smallest city, St Davids (32 miles), with its breathtaking cathedral is worth a drive. Avid walkers can enjoy a day on the stunning Preseli Mountains (15 miles).
