Aberaeron (3 miles) is a charming port with its delightful pastel-painted townhouses, offering cafes, independent shops, a picturesque harbour with boat trips, and dog-friendly pebble beaches. New Quay (6 miles) also has dog-friendly beach areas. Check out the walking trail there or see if you can spot the bottlenose dolphins who frequent the waters. A host of activities for the whole family include the superb National Trust property of Llanerchaeron (4 miles), where dogs on leads are welcome in the woodland and parkland. Llain Activity Centre (2 miles) offers adventure days for families, while Fantasy Farm Park (10 miles) provides play activities and a nature trail. The resort of Aberystwyth is 19 miles away along the spectacular coastline of Cardigan Bay.
