A three-storey, period property positioned minutes walk from Fistral beach and the centre of Newquay, this is a great base for families or large groups coming together.

Groups of family, friends and two canine companions will love this spacious, contemporary and practical home very close to the centre of Newquay. Not only are there plenty of attractions, shops, bars and restaurants nearby, but the superb, dog-friendly Fistral Beach is close by and can easily be accessed on foot.

This three-storey, period property has been well-thought-out, with plenty of space for all the family. It’s been beautifully decorated and retains some traditional features such as exposed beams. A separate games room is great for the kids of the group, it has a football table, Xbox and a Smart TV, while the adults can watch a film in the main lounge. All of the bedrooms in this home have en-suite bathrooms and TVs, great for groups to take some time out after a busy day exploring. To the rear of the property is a delightful, enclosed garden. It’s completely decked and has a table and chairs, as well as a BBQ for you to enjoy al fresco evening dining.

Newquay is known as one of the finest beach destinations in the country, it’s a popular spot with tourists, surfers and festival-goers, yet exudes a laidback atmosphere. There is a huge range of things to do here, from perusing the shops and dipping toes and paws in the sea, to exploring aquatic life at the Blue Reef Aquarium. Alternatively, hop on the Lappa Valley Steam Railway (5 miles) and take a nostalgic journey through the countryside. Dog tickets are also available. The incredible Eden Project allows dogs in its gardens and is 22 miles from here, or visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan (20 miles) and sniff out 200 acres of lush grounds.

Lovely comfortable and clean house in a great location for the town and fistral. All the facilities you need - loads of plates, cutlery etc and a TV in every room. Safe enclosed yard, which was great for the dogs. We used the road and nearby car parks as the parking is rather limited.

We went to Newquay as a family, everyone really enjoyed staying at the house, very comfortable with everything you need. Close to town, with just a short walk, would definitely stay again.

The house was great and suited our dynamic with each bedroom having bathroom facilities. Whilst the pictures are a true representation the house is better in person. Everything you need, even the dog had its own goodie bowl. If you have a 2nd car I would recommend parking in the car park as you turn right out of the property and straight on at the Read moreisland. Not only has it got a great view but not too busy either and price reasonable. Excellent choice all round walk into Newquay is about 10 mins Hide

Lovely house and within a 15 minute walk to the beach. The TVs and ensuite facilities were greatly appreciated by the younger members of our party. Local car parks are free from 4pm to 9am the following day. Great day trips to Polperro, Fowey, Perrinporth and Padstow. If you find the Polly Joke beach you are in for a treat.

My family and I had a great stay at this property! The house has a great layout and we enjoyed the big kitchen and decking area that had the sun the whole day. Its in a perfect location for accessing the town and the beaches. Will definitely be looking into staying again next year.

Had a really good time at Calmynsy. The house is pretty comfortable, lots of room for everyone, and it was nice that each bedroom had an ensuite. The kitchen has all the stuff you need and we ended up cooking a few meals and eating out on the terrace, which was great. It's a short walk to the beach and the town centre, so you can pop out whenever yRead moreou want without needing the car. We had the most amazing week and enjoyed the fact we didnt use the car all week. Walking distance to 2 different beaches and The Gunnel which was great for crabbing and walking the dogs. We can highly recommend horse riding down the Gunnel, Coasteering, Paddleboarding and Kayaking on the sea. It was also great to be able to walk into town and accesRead mores all the amenities. What a lovely place to stay. The pictures do it justice, but the reality was even better. Superbly appointed kitchen with everything you need and more. Beautifully decorated inside and out.
