Romantic log cabin in the Welsh countryside with wood burner, countryside views and walks from the door.
Studded on the cusp of Machynlleth, this delightful log cabin is an eclectic mix of rustic and country-cottage chic, combining wooden details with pretty furniture and accessories. Sleeping couples with or without young children and one pup, it is ideally located for exploring Snowdonia National Park and the North Wales coastline, and being placed close to the railway means you can travel further afield too.
Quirky and unique with wooden panelling throughout, your cosy abode is kept toasty by a roaring wood burner at its heart – a spot that Fido will soon bag as his favourite. Settle down on the sofas and watch TV, retreat to the dining space, or throw open the doors for an al fresco vibe. The compact yet well-equipped kitchen is tucked in a nook, providing everything you need to whip up delicious meals. A small corridor leads to the delightful bedrooms, one with a double bed and another with bespoke bunk beds laid out in an ‘L shape’. Although the bottom bunk is standard size, this room is only suitable for children and the top bunk is smaller. On balmy evenings, the decked terrace is a treat for sipping drinks.
The world really is your oyster when you visit beautiful Machynlleth, and once you have fully explored the bars, shops and eateries, there is lots to discover close by. Aberdyfi, or Aberdovey as it is also known, is 12 miles away with its dog-friendly beach and opportunities for water sports. Golf, wildlife spotting and cycling are popular here too, or why not arrange a boat trip and take your sea dog across the water for a change of scene? Dolgellau is 17.5 miles away and acts as a gateway to some of Snowdonia’s most impressive walking routes.
