This cottage can be found right in the heart of the North Pennines in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Providing lucky guests with easy access to rolling hills, meandering rivers and picturesque villages, this large and spacious property is perfect for up to seven guests and two pups to explore this beautiful area as well as the attractions in and around Northumberland and County Durham. Modernised and renovated to an extremely high standard, guests will love the special extra touches they'll find here, not least the wood-fired hot tub in the enclosed patio garden.
Situated on a working farm, the cottages are approached via a private track and vehicles are left in a large shared courtyard area to the front of the house. The open-plan lounge/dining area is warm and welcoming and features a wood burner where your pooches can warm their paws after a day's adventures. Pretty floral curtains adorn the sash windows and well-placed lamps provide soft lighting in the evenings whilst you sit and play board games. The three bedrooms are cosy and restful while outside, your dogs will love stretching their legs in the shared garden.
The town of Consett can be found just 6 miles from the cottage, offering a good selection of cafes and shops, including a supermarket. History buffs will enjoy a day trip to the dog-friendly Corbridge Roman Town, 19 miles away, where you can experience a time-capsule of Roman life and explore Hadrian's Wall. Or let your four-legged friends take the lead on a walk around the Derwent Reservoir, stopping for a tasty titbit at one of the dog-friendly pubs.
