A little further up the road just 10 miles away is Scarborough, which is Filey’s larger, well-known cousin. Kids will be delighted to visit the Sealife Centre where they’ll be able to come face-to-face with sharks, turtles and piranha. Take a trip 30 miles north to historic Whitby and the Captain Cook museum to learn more about the seafarer’s life. The town is not only known for its annual Goth Fest in honour of Dracula whose fictional visit to the place is cemented in literature but also its world renowned fish and chips. Be sure to share a little with your furry friends as you stroll along the harbour.

This is a really lovely cottage in a lovely village, with shops etc just up the road. Access to places nearby is easy too. It is nicely equipped with quality furniture.

This is a little gem of a cottage. if you are considering booking then dont hesitate. Highly recommend! Lovely place to stop, very comfortable, everything on hand, taller people in the party needed to watch their heads in the twin bedroom and bathroom but no mishaps occured! Good location in the village, shops and pubs on the doorstep and only short journey to the coast, the dog absolutely loved it.

Fabulous, homely and spacious property in a great location, so close to all the amenities on offer in Hunmanby. A 5 min drive to Hunmanby Gap and the super beach which our dog absolutely loved. I would definitely recommend and we plan to return next year! Locals were super friendly and pubs all dog friendly.

Lovely cottage, well equipped and beautifully appointed and really comfortable. The location is smashing with lots of facilities in the village and everyone was super friendly especially in the pubs. Our dog loved the nearby beaches especially Hunmanby Gap. We are already planning our return trip.

A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. There is ample seating and lots of room for 4 people. It is not however really dog friendly as the outdoor space is only a very small patio area, and according to Holiday Cottages Rules dogs should never be left in the property alone.

The cottage is comfortable and was warm on arrival especially as the weather was quite bad and chilly for May, open plan so feels spacious, and well equipped (apart from the toaster that would not hold the bread in so didnt work). Upstairs the rooms have low head room to the sides so you need to be careful. The bathroom is lovely great powerful shoRead morewer. Beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped cottage, ideal location for exploring the North Yorkshire Coast. The village is pretty and has good facilities. We spent our days walking along the coast and our evenings in the cottage, it was a pleasure to cook and eat together. The kitchen is exceptional and the cottage is very comfortable. Our only bug Read morebear was that it comes with what is described as an enclosed garden, but it's actually a small separate patio, which is misleading. Otherwise superb. Hide

The cottage is a beautiful conversion of an old barn and extremely well kitted out. The TV, for instance, has access to iPlayer Netflix,and Amazon Prime (you need your own account details to access the last two). There is no "view" but a useful little yard for eating out. Hunmanby is a real find, a splendid village with a great butcher, a Co-op, poRead morest office, and in the Pantry a first rate deli (try the pies). We drove the ten minutes to Hunmanby Gap to swim most days from the fab sandy beach. Hide
