Discover the natural beauty of Lake Windermere (6 miles) or hike up Helm Crag (24.5 miles) for spectacular views.
Tails will wag as you walk through the pretty front garden to reach your cosy cottage in the heart of Cartmel. After a day exploring the lakes, curl up on one of the comfy seats and enjoy the warmth from the wood burner with your hound snoozing at your feet. Prepare delicious dinners in the homely kitchen/diner where you will find another traditional wood burner. Upstairs are the two comfortable bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, along with the stylish shower room. Step through the French doors into your pretty courtyard garden where your pup can sniff out their favourite sunny spot as you enjoy an al fresco meal.
Spend the day at the races with your hound as your lucky charm at Cartmel Racecourse (1 mile) - the National Hunt’s smallest racecourse. Sample local craft beers at Unsworth’s Yard Brewery (150m), where you and your canine companion can discover how the beer is made and sample some in the tasting room. Sniff out your favourite walk through Eggerslack Woods (3 miles) where trails wind through the native trees and ferns. Further afield, explore the lake towns of Kendal (15.5 miles), Ulverston (13 miles) and Windermere (14 miles).
