For games of fetch and tug-of-war on the beach, what better location than the glorious sandy coast of North Cornwall? Treat your dog to the walkies of a lifetime, enjoying remarkable views and salty sea air as you spend some quality time with man’s best friend. The comfortable cottage sleeps a family of six guests and happily hosts two dogs, so you don’t have to choose between Fido and Rover enjoying the holiday of a lifetime.
This pretty cottage is the epitome of countryside living, located on a rural track and full of charming period features. Inside, the decor has stayed loyal to the traditional style of the home, featuring antique furniture and floral soft furnishings throughout. The home’s entertainment system is, however, perfect for the modern family. Sit down to a DVD, watch something on Sky TV or blast music on the iPod dock when getting ready on a morning. Let your canine companion curl up in front of the wood burner in the lounge, no doubt exhausted after a long day of sniffing out adventures. Outside, the cottage benefits from a pretty, enclosed garden, where adults and kids can enjoy a BBQ and dogs can safely explore.
Jump in the car and visit local Newquay (6 miles), one of Cornwall’s most exciting tourist locations and a place that offers something for everyone. The dog friendly Fistral Beach (8 miles) is a great place to watch pro-surfers and burying bones in the sand. Those pups less keen on dipping their paws in the sand might prefer a trip to Trenance Gardens (6 miles), a bright and beautiful park with extensive boating lake and glorious rose garden. Heading a little further afield, travel 20 miles south to the wonderful Roseland coast for unforgettable walks with your most loyal companions.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
