Surrounded by one of the best natural playgrounds in Europe, both two and four-legged members of your family will have equal fun heading out each day to explore and returning each evening to relax in front of the fire, perhaps accompanied by a glass of the finest Scottish whisky (for you) and a chunky bone to gnaw on (for your dog!).

A spacious self-catering cottage, you will find everything you could need and more for a holiday to remember. With high ceilings, bay windows and tasteful wooden finishings, this Victorian-era property has a refined edge softened with cosy furnishings and soothing tones. Particularly inviting, the sitting room is complete with an open fire – the perfect place to bask in the warmth of the glow after a long day hiking and indulge your pup in some much-deserved belly rubs. For gathering the family together, the attractive, contemporary kitchen has a sizeable breakfast island whilst a formal dining room lends a heightened sense of ceremony to meals. Upstairs, you will find the four bedrooms.

Benefiting from an enclosed garden, you have one acre of grounds to explore at the property itself whilst further afield the rise and fall of the landscape is shaped by woodland and hills, rivers and mountains. We loved everything about the cottage, the location is brilliant within walking distance to local shops and takeaways, all the facilities you good possibly need. We are already looking at dates to return. Fantastic house and area.

We have used this holiday home a number of times in the past 12 years and it has had a fairly recent positive renovation e.g new kitchen, bathrooms and furniture. It has lost none of its charm; it is a lovely old stone villa set in private and tranquil grounds. Ideal for families seeking peace and quiet from the bustle. We found this holiday rental comfortable with mostly all we needed in the kitchen. Nice big modern bathroom. Great heating system. Excellent location for local amenities and trails. Would definitely recommend this holiday place. Brilliant customer service from holidaycottages agency.

A wonderful holiday home with distinctive historic charm. Thanks to modern bathrooms and a new kitchen, you don't have to do without any comfort. Within walking distance are several hiking trails and also the main street with shops. We would love to come back...

What a lovely cottage in such a great place! Make plans for cooking your own lunch as the restaurants tend to only open early evenings This property is a little gem in the highlands :)
