Set in the pretty village of Branscombe, within walking distance of the village pub and the beach. It is ideal for exploring South Devon’s Jurassic coastline.
Escape to the coast and settle down in this pretty cottage which sits in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its location makes it the perfect home for those looking for adventures across coast and country with brilliant beaches and trails close by. Have a ball with your four-legged friend and curl up together in front of the wood burner to ensure tails and toes are kept toasty.
Descend steps to reach the front door and make your way into the entrance hall where you can ditch boots, coats and leads. Heading through to the lounge/diner, admire countryside views as you put your feet up and switch on the TV whilst lapping up heat from the wood burner. Rumbling tummies can be seen to in the kitchen where a handful of appliances mean you can make light work of mealtimes and rustle up tasty treats with ease. The kitchen leads down some steps into the utility room, perfect for drying off soggy fur and putting muddy towels in to wash. A snug area is also located at the far end of the kitchen so you can settle down and find some peace and quiet. Should the sun shine, make your way down one step and onto the patio to fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco. As night falls, rest weary heads upstairs in one of three pleasant bedrooms or freshen up in the family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Welcoming avid stick chasers, sea splashers and sandcastle builders, Branscombe Beach is a shingly stretch of coastline less than a mile from your door. An array of other fabulous beaches dot the Jurassic Coastline so you can get a breath of sea air somewhere new every day. Tread the South West Coast Path and head towards Beer (3 miles) where you can whet your appetite with fish fresh from the morning’s catch.
