Property code: 43724

This light and airy cottage boasts spacious accommodation and a warming wood burner for romantic evenings in.

Sitting in the Forest of Dean and near to the wonderful Wye Valley, enjoy the countryside views and wild adventures which surround this property. Welcoming those with both two and four legs, tufty tails and fluffy paws, escape with all members of the family to enjoy some quality time together adventuring, relaxing, making memories and snuggling up by the wood burner (first basket of logs included between September and April).

Well-equipped for cooking up a storm, rustling up a tasty titbit and packing a picnic, the kitchen has everything you need to keep hungry holiday tummies happy and full. Dine together at the table and enjoy a romantic moment before discussing tomorrow’s plans and settle in front of the wood burner to warm toes and paws as you relax in style and comfort. If the evenings are mild, head out onto the pretty patio area to sip an al fresco tipple. A BBQ means you can whip up easy summer meals whilst canine chums roam the garden and sniff the air. As eyes get heavy and heads are ready to doze, the inviting bedroom is delightfully decorated to create a tranquil space for falling asleep. Sloping ceilings add quirk but slightly reduce headroom, so do take care. An en-suite shower room makes freshening up light work so you can head out and seize the day.

Discover the Forest of Dean and nearby Wye Valley and explore on or off the beaten track. Find yourself on a walking, cycling or riding trail and work up a healthy appetite which can be fed at local pubs which welcome dogs. 14 miles from home, the historic market town Ross-on-Wye is a great place to wander characterful streets dotted with shops and eateries before following a trail along the river.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Perfect stay for forest walks with a dog. The garden is properly enclosed (the owners even put a section of mesh over a gate as we were worried our dog might jump it). It's a very cosy cottage - and you can walk straight out of the door and be in the forest.

This is a lovely place to stay, nicely tucked away and peaceful but still close enough to pop into town for your supplies. Look out for the local sheep, they like to sleep behind your car! Thoroughly recommended.

We had a lovely stay here, great hosts! I would only advise that due to the area restrictions wifi isnt exactly available and the shower isnt for anyone tall. The location is near lots of great walks and excellent shops and restaurants nearby which is exactly what we wanted for our holiday. Although the rules suit us it could be an issue for other Read moredog owners, no dogs upstairs. Just one to note. But overall lovely break away!! Hide

Yes, highly. Charming cottage. Spacious and cosy, especially with the log burner going! Nice comfy bed. Extremely well equipped kitchen, everything you could ever need including lunch boxes and drinking bottles. Enclosed garden meant we could just leave the back door open for the dog. Owners easily contactable and informative if required.

A lovely well attired accommodation in a beautiful location, Located near enough to the local town for shopping and evening meals but remote enough to really appreciate a country break. If you are looking for a Walking or Cycling holiday this would be equally ideal as there are plenty of dedicated routes and tracks to follow.

Charming, comfortable cottage in a lovely location. The garden was a particular highlight - an amazing sun-trap to return to after a day out. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, but the cottage was separate enough from them to feel like our own space. We would love to have stayed longer.
