A historic wing of a 16th century house tucked away in the midst of quiet farmland. Perfect position to explore Cornwall’s top towns and attractions.
One of four properties tucked away on a secluded rural estate 3 miles from Truro, this one-bedroom cottage is ideal for a couple who want to enjoy a relaxing break with their faithful hound. Ease into a laid-back Cornish way of life as you potter around the spacious enclosed plant-filled garden while Fido chases butterflies or flops down on the lawn for a snooze in the late afternoon sun. You’ll all get a new leash of life here!
Inside, the cottage has a romantic feel to it, with exposed wooden ceiling beams, a farmhouse-style kitchen and a floral-inspired bedroom giving it a timeless quality. A few steps lead up to the front door of this upside-down property, which has the rustic open-plan living area on the first floor to make the most of the countryside views. The lounge is a comfortable place to unwind after a long day exploring the Cornish coast, and you can snuggle up to watch a film (Lady and the Tramp perhaps?) with your sleepy pup curled up at your feet.
Cornwall’s only city, Truro, is peppered with historic attractions and has plenty of dog-friendly cafes to sniff out. If you fancy some sea air to blow away the cobwebs, travel 10 miles west to Perranporth, where the beach has designated areas for dogs. Both The Lost Gardens of Heligan (13 miles) and the Eden Project (23 miles) are must-see attractions for anyone new to Cornwall, and have miles of pathways for you and your canine pal to explore.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
