Enjoying a quiet location accessed via a farm lane within the rolling countryside of central Cornwall, this is one of four charming properties converted from a stunning 16th century Cornish long house.
A peaceful retreat in the heart of Cornwall, this converted stables is well-placed for exploring the whole county, from the rugged north coast beaches to the traditional fishing villages of the south. It’s perfect for a romantic break for a couple to share with their beloved four-legged companion. Enjoy lazy dog day afternoons in the exotic shrub-filled garden or walkies through woodland trails into the wider countryside.
The interior of the bungalow has rustic appeal, with dreamy farmhouse features, pretty decor and nautical influences throughout. The open-plan living area is a snug space to switch off and unwind if you’re planning a cosy night in with Rover. Cuddle up under the beamed vaulted ceiling in the comfortable lounge area after sharing a special meal outside on the patio under the stars, not forgetting a few doggy treats for the furry one. Get a good night’s rest in the master double bedroom and wake to views of the delightful courtyard garden.
The cottage is only 3 miles from the bustling city of Truro, where you can enjoy a traditional Cornish cream tea in a dog-friendly cafe tucked away among the cobbled streets. The Lost Gardens of Heligan (13 miles) and Eden Project (23 miles) are not to be missed and both offer miles of pathways for dogs to explore. National Trust property Trelissick Garden (8.5 miles) also has plenty of space to play and tear after balls. To feel the sand between your toes – or paws – spend the day at Perranporth Beach (10 miles), which has zones for canines.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
