Lovingly converted stylish holiday cottage with a four acre river fronting chocolate box style garden. Take time to enjoy the stunning scenery close by. Perfect for walkers and beach going families alike.

Situated between St Ives and Newquay, this cottage is the ideal base for seaside adventures with a pack of pooches and humans. Explore the drama of North Cornwall, taking in the beaches that curl around the St Agnes Heritage Coast, before heading back to your tranquil country home.

Enjoy your picturesque entry into this traditional, chocolate-box cottage. First, the kitchen. With sweet country touches and packed with cooking equipment including electric range-style oven, this is where the chef of the family will love escaping to. Then through into your open-plan lounge and dining room, with original feature fireplace, wood burner and SkyTV. The bedrooms — one super-king, a double, and a twin — are cosily arranged upstairs with views of the garden, which may end up being your favourite part of the property. It’s a 4-acre stretch of level grass fronting a stream, perfect for those excited zoom-arounds, and complete with romantic touches like a streamside bench and wooden swing. An orangery has been thoughtfully designed as a relaxing dining room too, so you can watch your dog’s play in comfort.

There are ample adventures close by so you can explore Cornwall at your own pace. Try one of the many dog-friendly beaches. Just 2 miles away, your local beach at Perranporth is a destination in itself, shaped around a cove with dramatic natural cliff arches. Further afield, take a breezy 20-mile drive across the peninsula to Pendower Beach, a wide, sandy stretch near Truro, loved by dog owners. Or take the coastal path to St Agnes Head, a rugged journey around the North Cornwall coast, past the ruin of St Agnes Beacon. The fun doesn’t stop when you get home again — with a dog-loving inn just a mile’s walk from the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The owner, Graham, was a real delight. So helpful, friendly and kind, it was great having him close by. He gently made recommendations which all proved to be spot on. The cottages with its very private large garden was super. Even when there was an on-shore wind the garden was sheltered and very pleasant to sit in. Graham is a very welcoming host and provided us with a very extensive hamper, including clotted cream and dog treats. Graham lives next door in the property with the apex window.

Lovely cosy property in idyllic location five minutes drive from Perranporth beach.
