Head to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline for a romantic retreat, cosy and contemporary interior for a relaxing getaway for two.

Discover a romantic retreat for any couple who wouldn’t dream of putting their dog in kennels when planning a holiday. After all, what’s the point in exploring the beautiful North York Moors if you don’t have man’s best friend dutifully at your heels? Sleeping two guests and one beloved pup, this Grade II-listed bothy has been renovated to offer a cosy bolthole on the Yorkshire coast. Pack your dog’s bed, bowl and plenty of treats for an unforgettable getaway, enjoying day after day of walkies in the coast and countryside with the odd stop-off at a pup-friendly pub, of course.

Step into this studio accommodation and get a feel for the place. Skylights ensure that the space is bright and airy, whilst direct access to the private garden is perfect for your pet. After a long day of walking, we're certain that food will be high on your list of priorities. Prepare your meals and choose between dining in the lounge or eating al fresco. An outdoor heater on the terrace is perfect for those chillier evenings, whilst a night curled up on the couch with Fido at your heels is on offer when the weather is bad. Let sleeping dogs lie when it's time for bed, heading up to the raised double that's been handcrafted for this space.

Lead the way to adventure right from your doorstep, packing your pet’s favourite treats for a day discovering the Esk Valley and walks along the River Esk (0.5 miles). The dramatic North East coast is just a short car journey away (9.5 miles), with popular spots of Whitby (17.5 miles) and Robin Hood’s Bay (22 miles) well worth a visit. Enjoy a walk along the beautiful coastline and be sure to treat yourselves to fish and chips wherever you end up.

Joe, the owner is lovely, friendly but not in your face! The Bothy is quirky and of a high quality, also lots of room outside too for the dogs. In a beautiful area. The bed is very comfortable but a bit of a challenge to get off it!

Veru cosy little cottage with great view, fireplace, bbq. Nicely decorative and though tiny there's place enough for groceries and bags and suitcases. Everything has been thought of. Nice owners too.
