Situated in an idyllic location, yet within easy reach of good motor links, this charming cottage is set close to the market town of Tiverton in mid-Devon. Four guests and two pup pals are welcome to stay at this charming two-bedroom cottage; the friendly owners live next door though privacy is assured and they are available if needed. You’ll find off-road parking available for one car, a pub within walking distance, and a shop nearby (1.5 miles).

A warm welcome awaits guests at this country-style property where rustic features harmonise with a contemporary kitchen and dining area. There’s comfort at every turn, with splashes of colour creating a cosy ambience, and a well-equipped kitchen which makes family meals a breeze. Gather for social chats at the breakfast bar, or step into the spacious dining room and make plans for a new day of adventures. After muddy hikes or shopping trips, you’ll be glad to return to the cosy living room where there’s cosy seating, a TV, and a toasty wood burner where you can snuggle up with your best friends and unwind after your fun day. Outside, there’s a private enclosed garden where children and hounds can bound and play games on the level lawn, while you enjoy drinks or BBQ cookery on warmer evenings.

Discerning hounds will be inspired by the 19th-century parkland and Gothic Revival architecture at nearby National Trust Knighthayes (2 miles), while shoppers can source delicious food produce and gifts in Tiverton (2 miles). Golfers can head for the fairways at Tiverton Golf Club (4.5 miles). The rugged terrain of Exmoor (17 miles), and the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (15.5 miles) are within reach for your hill-hungry hounds, while canal-side boat hire is available in Tiverton for your brood of sailors.

Really unique cottage which so much character. Loved the non standard doors, thick walls and stone floors and at the same time the modern kitchen which was airy and light. Best of modern and old and had every thing we needed.

Beautiful cottage very sympathetically renovated and well equipped. Lovely garden which we managed to enjoy a glass of wine in before the weather changed. Excellent food at the Hartnoll Hotel. Owners very helpful.

A lovely, clean and well equipped cottage with a lot of character - plenty of room throughout. A lovely enclosed garden (great for the dogs) and in an ideal location for visiting all of Devon. Within a short walk of Knightshayes Court, where there are plenty of dog friendly fields for them to run around in (also a fab tea room). Very spacious lovely garden, enclosed so keeping dog safe. Quirky wooden features inside. Ben the owner very friendly, rescued me when hair dryer failed. Replaced within the hour. Hartnoll Hotel literally 5 mins away, dog friendly, lovely food. Good old fashion service.

A fabulous find! The house is very ckean and comfortable. It is so well equipped; there is absolutely nothing it doesn't have. The garden is lovely and there are lots of lovely local walks and places to visit.

So much character....very comfortable.... well equipped.... lovely village location..... beautiful walks on the doorstep.....accessible to Exmoor and the coasts of North and South Devon. Owners were very helpful yet not intrusive. Blagdon Means is the perfect family holiday venue.

We really enjoyed living in the cottage. It has everything you need and more. It was so well equipped I was amazed. My daughter's and my noisy doggie all had fun even though it rained the whole week....we were cosy and happy. Would recommend to anyone. Great value.

A really lovely, comfortable cottage, well kept overall and in a peaceful rural location. The cottage has a very pretty, well kept garden with table and chairs for outside living. There are beautiful walks close by and easy access to places of interest.

We loved this well-equipped beautiful cottage in an ideal location in a pretty, peaceful village that was just a few minutes from a major supermarket and Tiverton. Just a couple of minutes from the A361 and 7 minutes from the M5

Beautiful and cosy period cottage with a modern twist...it has everything you need with the ability to go back in time and get away from it all...centrally located so can visit either coasts or just walk through the fields to Knighthayes surrounded by gigantic trees...happily visit again

This was a property full of character with loads of stunning features. It was very spacious, we didn't even use the beautiful dining room. Garden was safe for our reactive rescue dog and the whole village was very peaceful. Kitchen was well equipped. Although we had bad weather it didn't spoil our enjoyment of this lovely property. Tiverton is 5 miRead morenutes drive away for any provisions but we had placed an online Waitrose order which arrived just after we did. Hide

Lovely cottage & garden, has everything you need. Dog friendly but be aware dogs not allowed upstairs or on furniture, so suggest taking throws. Location central for visiting South and North Devon about 90 mins away from either coastline.

We had an amazing time at this lush comfortable cottage with our 2 dogs, such a relaxing place ideal for me to be creative with my art, so much peace and quiet!! The property is situated in a beautiful country side, plenty of places to walk your dogs and the garden is really safe and secure. There are fantastic views when out walking. Excellent well-kept cottage in a nice location. The nearby Kinghtshayes is a real plus for visiting and the dogs enjoyed the walks. The owners are very friendly and sorted out a problem with the TV immediately. The garden is wonderful, private and very colorful. Probably the best cottage we have stayed at (we have stayed at a lot!).

A really comfortable, clean cottage with a lovely garden and very dog friendly. I wouldn't recommend drinking at the Hartnoll Hotel opposite though - drinks were extortionate!

We had a wonderful week at Blagdon Means. The cottage is spacious, clean and fully equipped and the pretty enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs. The footpath through to the grounds of Knighthayes was a bonus. We also enjoyed walking by the canal towpath and visiting local gardens.
