Sitting in an elevated position, this cosy detached barn conversion boasts some fabulous views across the rolling hills to the sea. Sleeping two people in one bedroom and welcoming one furry friend, this is the perfect romantic bolthole for couples who want to explore the beautiful Devon countryside with their four-legged friend. Your pup will enjoy running in the garden/patio while you and your loved one take a dip in the private hot tub.
Located close to the owner’s farmhouse, this stylish barn sits on the edge of Exmoor National Park. Step inside and you’re greeted by a light open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that boasts quaint vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a wood burner and French doors that open out onto the garden. A ladder leads to a mezzanine level, which is ideal if you want some indulgent me-time with a good book. Open up the French doors and you can admire the stunning views over the fields and down the valley to the sea. There’s a patio area with a BBQ for al fresco romantic dinners, as well as a fully lawn with a picnic area where you can enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset into the sea as your pup runs free. End your evening in the private hot tub - this is an area of low light pollution, so stargazing from the hot tub is advised.
There are some lovely dog-friendly beaches in the area, like Hele Bay (7 miles), which is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty adjacent to Hillsborough Nature Reserve, and Saunton Sands (15.5 miles), which has one of the most impressive dune systems in the country. Doggie visitors are also welcome at Broomhill Sculpture Gardens (8.5 miles), which is surrounded by hundreds of acres of beautiful woodland.
