Sitting on the banks of Loch Ailsh, this lovely Highland home offers total seclusion in a stunning location. Sleeping nine people across five bedrooms and welcoming two faithful friends, this country retreat is a big hit with hikers and fishers who like to get away from it all with their pups by their side. It’s an excellent accommodation option for large families or groups of friends who appreciate a little privacy and pretty views.

Head to the farmhouse-style kitchen, cook a celebratory dinner for your loved ones, and host a stylish dinner to remember in the spacious dining room. After dinner, step outside and soak up the peaceful loch views; make your way to the large drawing room to curl up with a book; or watch your favourite movie as your pups snooze happily at your feet in front of the wood burner in the living room. At the end of the day, you’re sure to have an undisturbed night’s sleep in one of the five comfortable bedrooms. In the morning, head down to the loch (it’s only 100 metres from the front door) for a refreshing swim.

Your pups are sure to love splashing about in Loch Ailsh, which is right on your doorstep. They’ll also be good company if you decide to go fishing. Further afield, take your pups to see the Atlantic salmon leap up the thundering Falls of Shin (25 miles). Your dogs are welcome in the stylish restaurant there, which specialises in Highland delicacies. Or take them on a breathtaking two-hour cruise to from Ullapool (24.5 miles) to Stornoway on the MV Loch Seaforth which has a special dog-friendly area for salty sea dogs.

Big warm house, spotlessly clean, large drying room, lovely beds, amazing views, kitchen was fantastic, ideal for socials and a catch up after a day on the hills.
