This spacious property in Wales sleeps ten guests and two dogs, making it the ideal location for large get-togethers with your nearest and dearest. Set on the edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, you’ll be inspired to get out and explore the vast array of walks surrounding the cottage. Benefitting from a peaceful setting in this pretty town, you’ll easily be able to unwind and leave feeling fully recharged and relaxed.
The cottage features a spacious lounge with ample seating for everyone, including the four-legged guests. With its stripped wooden floors, rich woollen rugs and cosy wood burner, you’ll all enjoy chilling out here. The dining area houses a large table for entertaining and from here French doors open onto the garden, so on a summer’s evening fire up the BBQ and enjoy some indoor/outdoor dining. The younger members of the party will love the games room, where the TV is set up ready for gaming. Outside, there’s a characterful enclosed garden with a raised lawn area where the children and dogs can play.
In this neck of the woods, it’s all about getting outdoors. You’ll find some delightful walks in Brecon itself, including Captain’s Walk where you can discover the remains of the town’s medieval walls and also Brecon Promenade which takes you along the River Usk and has a large meadow where the dogs can stretch their legs. Both are less than 0.5 miles away. Brecon Cathedral (also less than 0.5 miles) welcomes dogs and is now the heritage centre. It’s a great place to learn about the area and also potter around the cute craft shop. For a more exhilarating excursion, climb Pen Y Fan (6 miles away). It’s South Wales’ highest mountain and on a clear day the views are truly breathtaking.
