This charming character cottage is an ideal getaway within walking distance to the Jurassic Coast and boasts a cosy wood burner and a pretty, secluded cottage garden which is fully enclosed.
Imagine the wood burner lit, tired-out dogs curled up on blankets, local fresh bread on the table and an abundance of stunning cliff top walks nearby to challenge you. Coastal cottage living can be romantic; a perfect escape from the rat race. This could be the place to make memories – a comforting and restful retreat when you return, windblown and sandy pawed, from the rugged cliffs and unspoilt beaches of the south coast.
Step into the pretty cottage to discover a cosy living room with heaps of character and space in front of the wood burner for the dogs to dry off. Comfy seating and a perfectly formed kitchen with a door leading to the enclosed garden await you. The cottage-style staircase leads up to the master king-size bedroom and a contemporary shower room. Outside in the secluded, enclosed garden, you can enjoy drinks and have a BBQ while Fido practises tricks for treats and enjoys an end of day belly rub in the evening sun. Parking is roadside or opposite in the public car park – once in place, you may not need to move it as everything you need is right on your doorstep.
Bridport is renowned for being a traditional seaside market town and, more recently, as the setting for TV’s Broadchurch. With cobbled lanes, thriving artisan markets and cafes, and rows of pretty terraced cottages, the ambience is cool and calm. You are less than 2 miles from West Bay; from 1 May to 30 September dogs can run free at either end, on both East Cliff Beach and West Cliff Beach. Eype beach is also less than 2 miles away; here the dogs can go barking mad and get sandy paws all year round.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
