This historic house has been beautifully renovated to offer stylish accommodation in the heart of a bustling Northumberland village.

Situated in the historic coaching town of Belford, this elegant three-bedroom property is ideal for families and their four-legged friends seeking a comfortable base in the Northumbrian countryside. Stroll into the town to browse the independent stores, pick up some local produce in the farm shop and sip locally produced ales in the dog-friendly pubs. Hike up to St Cuthbert’s Cave for spectacular views across to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne or take the lead along part of St Oswald’s Way for long traffic-free walks.

Tails will wag at the period charm of your holiday home’s interior including original sash windows and exposed beams. From the ground-floor entrance, steps lead up to the first-floor accommodation overlooking the market square below. Cook up a storm in the spacious kitchen/diner where you can share meals around the contemporary dining table. Watch the world go by from one of the living room window seats or curl up on the sofa with your hound at your feet. Your bathroom is also on this level. Take the stairs to the second floor where you will find three delightful bedrooms all dressed in crisp linens. Outside is an enclosed garden for your pup to explore while you enjoy a leisurely lunch at the garden table.

Sniff out your favourite beach for long seashore rambles and doggy paddles with Bamburgh (5.5 miles), Seahouses (9 miles) and Beadnell (13.5 miles) all within easy reach. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is well worth a visit and you can explore the unspoilt landscape with your canine companion at your side. Put your best paw forward on a hike to see the stunning cascade of Linhope Spout (21 miles) through Bulby’s Wood to reach the 60-foot-high waterfall.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Comfortable cottage in an excellent location. It ought to be emphasised that it is a town house with living accommodation on the first floor and bedrooms on the second floor so if you have any issues with stairs this property is not for you.

Property is quite tired and needs some tlc. Shabby but not chic. Lots of cobwebs and dirty windows inside. Bath and shower needs ripping out and new putting in. Very expensive for the quality of the property.

The house was really well located and a great base to explore. A short trip to some really beautiful beaches and close to key A1 routes for further trips. Lots of stairs with an active 2 year old was a bit of a challenge but wouldn't have impacted a family with older children and is only a really small point. The house is thoughtfully put together Read moreand well equipped with all essential items. Travel directions were really helpful. Would recommend. Hide

Perfect location for our trip. The cottage was cosy and clean. The cottage and decor had character instead of being a stark / white characterless place to stay. It was warm, bright and airy and there was so much space. Private parking was so useful for us as we have two small dogs. One in particular loved the window seat! We loved it - we had everyRead morething we needed and the co-op was a stones throw away. This was useful because of restrictions being in place. Ideal location for Bamburgh. Hide

A lovely holiday home in a great location within Northumberland. Small but well stocked supermarket in Belford as well as a takeaway fish and chip shop and Sunnyhills farm bistro/deli. The house is over three floors, living room, kitchen and bathroom on the first floor and bedrooms on the second floor.

Good location, well decorated, plenty of room for our family of four. Light and airy. As we visited in February we would have appreciated extra heating in lounge.
