This chocolate-box cottage in the village of High Peak will wow couples looking to embrace rural beauty with their canine companion by their side. This romantic dog-friendly destination leaves no stick unfetched in its quest for style and comfort.

A picturesque detached cottage offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside from its central village position is normally enough for anyone. However, step inside this lovely cottage and you’ll find so much more. There is a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need. A breakfast bar or the main dining area gives you choices for your meals, with an abundance of natural light. Curl up with your four-legged friend in the warm open-plan lounge, in front of the wood burner with a bottle of something delicious before retiring to the bedroom for the night. When you wake, you can soak up unrivalled countryside views across the fields that surround the property as well as the pretty stream that runs through the village. On the first floor is also the cottage bathroom consisting of a bath with a shower overhead and WC. Before exploring further afield, make the most of the enclosed patio seating area that perfectly finishes off this stunning property.

Canines are sure to adore the outdoor adventures that the area boasts in abundance. We suggest you head only 2 miles from your accommodation to Chapel-le-Frith and give your four-legged best friend the chance to frolic their way along Peak Hidden Trails. Plenty of beautiful nature walks are on offer, you can explore the reservoirs or climb to the top of the mountain for some awe-inspiring views of the area.

It was OK for the price. To be fair, for what we paid for a cottage in the Peak District in August it was OK. In my opinion it's not 4* -we arrived to have to wash glasses and plates before we used them, the kitchen utensils lacked basic things like a peeler. The fridge was iffy and leaked water. We took our dog so we shut the gate so he couldn't gRead moreet out only to find everyone from the pub next door left the gate open whenever they came in and out. it did have a comfy bed though.
