This charming holiday cottage has stunning views and lovely walks from the front door straight into the Dorset countryside. It is the perfect romantic getaway for a couple and their canine companion looking for peace and quiet in a West Country retreat.

With one section dating back 300 years, this bijou cottage is full of charm. The beautiful wood clad extension forms the front of the cottage, where there is a lovely lounge area with a comfy sofa. Sit back and take in the scenic views of the surrounding countryside before throwing open the patio doors to let your four-legged friend stretch his legs on the lawn. In the morning, enjoy a coffee in the sunshine on the decking outside and take in the glorious views. Decorated in warm natural tones throughout, the property also has a well-equipped kitchen and a cosy, inviting bedroom area at the rear. Being all on one level and open-plan in design, your furry friend is able to keep you company all day and night.

The South West Coast Path runs right through the pretty village of Eype, so you can enjoy some lovely walks down to Eype beach, popular with dog owners and the ideal place for a picnic. Or simply head out along the coast towards Lyme Regis and enjoy the breathtaking Jurassic Coast scenery with your canine companion. The pretty market town of Bridport is just 2 miles away, with an array of shops, eateries and a pretty harbour to explore, and the glorious stretch of West Bay Beach found there is perfect for walkies and games of fetch by the sea.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

It's a delightful cottage set in a beautiful coastal area of Dorset. There is a lot to do roundabout including many fantastic walks along the south west coastal path. The cottage itself has all the modern amenities that are required and I would happily recommend to others

This was the perfect place for a peaceful holiday and dog friendly. The cottage had everything we needed for a wonderful week away in the Dorset countryside and so close to the sea. Lovely cosy cottage with lovely small walled garden overlooking the fields and hills. Perfect position for eating out with The New Inn pub 100 yds up the road and Eype Mouth hotel 5 minute walk down the road. Also walking distance to the beach and coastal walks.

This is a very nice small cottage, ideal for two people who want to walk the coast paths. You get a very nice friendly welcome and the place is immaculate. It is very well equipped with everything you need. The bed is very comfortable, the sofa is a bit soft. The setting, village and the locals were very friendly. I was welcomed by the owner when I arrived, they did not intrude and left me to enjoy the peace and quiet for which I am very grateful. Stayed for a week. Had a wondeful time in this cottage. Great space for a couples holiday with a lovely modern feel. Beautiful view from back of cottage and only a short distance to the coast line. The kitchen is lovely and has everything you need to do some cooking. Bedroom is comfortable and stylish. Loved staying here.

Beehive Cottage was an excellent cottage to stay in, it may have been compact but every inch of space was used well. We loved all the wood and beautiful stained glass. The cottage is perfect for two people. While small, its use of space is both ingenious and stylish and manages to provide every feasible facility, along with a fine view. The owners are charming, welcoming, and very helpful. Our only issue was out of their control - the access to Eype.

A tiny but beautifully designed cottage with imaginative use of space. Everything that we could wish for was there - even a hammock in the garden! A 5 minute walk to the sea and in between a pub and a hotel that served evening meals - perfect.
