This gem of a property in the heart of Ruby Country in Mid-Devon is the perfect romantic retreat for couples and their four-legged friend. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside, you can soak up the fresh air and immerse yourselves in the tranquillity, as you explore the endless walks from your doorstep. At the end of a busy day, you can visit the pub in neighbouring village, Black Torrington (0.5 miles), before heading back to your private hot tub for a soak under the stars. Meanwhile, Fido can rest his weary legs in front of the wood burner.

This purpose-built lodge offers guests contemporary, open-plan living with hints of traditional, country décor making it feel cosy and comfortable. The local area boasts many beautiful, rural walks, including those along the nearby Tarka Trail, but further afield, you could head to Lydford Gorge (20 miles) on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and admire its waterfalls. For those who like to feel the sand beneath their toes, the seaside towns of Bude and Westward Ho! are within 20 miles, both providing access to the dramatic South West Coast Path. There are plenty of local, market towns with a range of independent shops and eateries, such as Hatherleigh (6 miles), Holsworthy (8.5 miles) and Okehampton (13 miles).
