A super shepherds hut enjoying lovely country views by day, stargazing at night, with a quality interior and a superb outside space with your very own bespoke hot tub.
Set a mile southeast of Llandyfan on the edge of the stunning Brecon Beacons, this superb shepherd’s hut is perfectly placed to explore the unique delights of South Wales. The pretty market town of Llandeilo is 5 miles to the north, with the National Trust’s Dinefwr Estate and Castle half a mile to the west. Believed to be the most haunted abode in Wales, the wonderfully gothic Newton House is at the centre of the estate - canine companions might be glad of their leads! The ruined castle and caves of Carreg Cennen (4 miles) are doggy heaven. With the Beacons so close, you’re never far from amazing adventures.
Inside the hut you’ll find quaint country charm and cosy home comforts, with a bespoke, hand-crafted ambience that’s uniquely thrilling. The open-plan living space is joyful, with its country-style kitchen, wood burner, hand-made double bed and sublime views of the surrounding, sylvan landscape. It’s the little loving touches, like the utensil rack, slate hearth and stable door that turn a hut into a home. Outside, sink into hot tub bubbles and dream of new adventures, crack open a bottle with a BBQ as evening falls or savour sunrise coffee and croissants on the decking.
Furry friends will love to explore the 568 acres of idyllic countryside at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales (13 miles) – every Monday is Doggy Day, hooray! Garn Coch Iron Age Fort (9 miles) and the surrounding countryside will astound. Llyn Lech Owain County Park (8 miles) is a dog-friendly sanctuary thronging with wildlife. Llangadog and the western villages of Capel Gwynfe, Bethlehem, Trap, Myddfai and Llanddeusant are well worth a visit, offering exceptional views of the Black Mountain, and a spiritual odyssey for those inclined. Amazing memories await.
