The Isle of Wight is a paradise for humans and hounds hankering for seafood, sailing and sunshine. Set in the sweet coastal village of Bembridge, you’re only a bound (200 metres) from a beautiful dog-friendly beach at this property, and a stone’s throw from two others – St Helens with its sand dunes and promenade (2 miles) and peaceful Seagrove (4 miles). Tackt-Isle Adventures in Bembridge (2.5 miles) offers sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and canoeing as well as paddle boarding, mountain biking, sand yachting, segways and bushcraft. 400-year-old Bembridge Mill is fascinating if you want a little history on your trip. Decamp after thrilling days out to some of the delightful dog-friendly pubs in Bembridge, Seaview (5 miles) and Ryde (6 miles).

 

Inside you’ll find a bright ambience and modern décor with a seaside feel, set over several split levels connected by short staircases. Prepare sublime local lobster and crab in the streamlined ground floor kitchen/diner, with access to the central, shared courtyard patio, perfect for convivial al fresco feasts. Up some stairs and through French doors, gather on the corner sofa in the beautifully proportioned lounge, to reminisce with wine and plan tomorrow’s excursions. Up more steps, unwind in a steaming corner bath in the bathroom or a hot shower in the shower room, before drifting into blissful dreams in the delightful king-size master bedroom and the two charming twins.

 

Find more fabulous dog friendly beaches at Yaverland Sandown (4.5 miles – go at low tide), sandstone-cliffed Luccombe Bay (9 miles), wooded Monks Bay (11 miles), Mount Bay and Orchard Bay (both 14 miles) and secluded Rocken End (18 miles). Explore Newport (12 miles) and the old winding streets of Cowes (17 miles), the Maritime, Military and Heritage Museums, beautiful Northwood Park and the town’s array of independent shops, canine-friendly pubs and restaurants. Conjure up history and romance at Carisbrooke Castle (12.5 miles) and Osborne House (14.5 miles) – dogs are allowed in the grounds of both. The possibilities for fun and marvellous memories are almost endless.

This property is in a great location very close to the beach. This is the second year in a row we have stayed here and Bembridge is certainly our favourite place. We enjoy walking along the beach which is only a 2 minute walk from the property and it is also close proximity to many shops, cafes and pubs/restaurants. The accommodation is great and wRead moree found all the bedrooms had very good storage and comfortable beds. The bathrooms were very modern and the living room had a comfortable sofa. Hide

Lovely house in a great location right next to the beach. The house is very well equipped and very comfortable. Bembridge is a lovely village to explore. This is the third time we have stayed here and it was just as good as ever.

This is a very comfortable house and it is in a great location. Very well equipped and also very quiet and within easy reach of the beach. We have already booked to return again next year.

Beautifully appointed home with safe beach on the doorstep. The house has everything you could want on a holiday. Plenty of towels. My only warning is that it's definitely not suitable for people with mobility issues, each room is on it's own level with 7 steps between each level, certainly kept you fit. A lovely well equipped apartment right on Bembridge point with direct access to the beach. We especially liked the garage area that the front door was accessed through; an ideal place to get the sand off the dog, remove walking boots etc before entering the building Its a great place to base yourself to explore the island from and if you feel like Read morestaying local there are fantastic independent shops, bars and cafes in Bembridge village and along the harbour. Great place to stay. Everything that you need to make self catering perfect and property was clean. Location is great straight onto the beach and the walk via the beach to bembridge is lovely. The accommodation was exactly as described. All the instructions were clear and accurate. It was spotless and very comfortable. The location was superb - a minute's walk to the lovely natural beach at Bembridge. We felt very at home at the property. The garage space was brilliant for drying off and storing beach clobber. This was our third stay in this property as we've found it to be the perfect location, right next to a lovely stretch of beach. Having garage space to store bikes/paddleboards and hang washing is really great (especially as there is a washing machine but no tumble dryer). Expect lots of stairs - there is a mini-flight between most rooms. It's fine Read moreif you're fit and mobile but wouldn't suit everyone. Generally the house is well-equipped, but take your own washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets! Hide

This house is in a fantastic location which meant that we hardly used the car as everything was within walking distance, e.g. beach. As a party of five adults and a four year old, we found this property ideal for the beloved "bucket and spade holidays". Right on the beach! We slept at the rear of the house facing the courtyard and it was nice and quiet. The main bedroom was at the front facing the road which might be a bit noisier. This was our second stay at Beach Haven its a very well equipped, in a wonderful location only minutes from the beach. Bembridge is a lovely village to stay in and explore the Island.

Very lovely cottage, very clean and well decorated. It is in a lovely location and has all the facilities in the cottage that you could want for a great stay. We look forward to our next visit in the Summer.
