There are walks aplenty right from the doorstep, with a rich wealth of places to amble around and through for pets and their owners.

Looking to take some time out and unwind? This spacious pet-friendly property is just the place. Come back downstairs, fire up the wood burner, and let Rover curl up with you after a day of exploration in this prime Dorset location. The kitchen is a lovely space to make your evening meals and brunch menus if you plan to stay in and eat, and you can make good use of the utility area when you have a post-walk mucky pup who needs a good clean down. The outside features a pet-friendly enclosed garden, contained by pretty borders and a small lawn and patio area for BBQs and games of fetch.

Beautiful, spacious and comfortable house. Nice enclosed garden, safe for dogs. Great local walks as well as being a good location from which to explore further afield. Quiet and rural while also being close to amenities. An enjoyable walk into the town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend booking. We spent a day in ShafteRead moresbury and visited Duncliffe Woods and Fifehead Woods. Also, everyone we met was lovely and friendly. We hope to return next year. Hide

We had a lovely week away in Bay Villa. Location is great for exploring the local area & further afield too & we had a fantastic time. The garden was amazing for the dogs but the neighbour on our first day there asked us to keep them quiet which really did spoil our time at the property as we were constantly worried anytime we let them out. They arRead moree dogs & they bark but it was not excessive & we fetched them inside every time. It might be something to consider if you have dogs as it upset us. Hide

This was one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in. It was beautifully decorated and yet had a very welcoming atmosphere. The house is spacious, with everything you need for your stay - and a great garden, which was a bonus. The bottle of wine was a lovely gesture.

Lovely, clean house. The additional utility room was perfect, especially if we'd brought the dog ( we'll know next time!), and the wood burner made it really cosy. No major issues, just be aware the road it sits on is quite busy if you're not used to road traffic like us and bring some slippers as the practical hard floors can be chilly.

Lovely combination of tastefully modern interior in period house. Well maintained, clean, well equipped, can't think of anything we could have wanted. Gillingham itself is well-provided with supermarkets (even a Waitrose!), petrol station, etc.; but the long-hours Co-op, less than 5 mins WALK away, is a real gem (and potential 'life-saver' of a SunRead moreday afternoon / evening for food!) .
