A wonderful setting for friends and family gatherings, this majestic property sleeps 14 guests and two dogs. The extensive outdoor space and accessible countryside mean that you’ll have no trouble tiring out your hound! With 2 acres of grounds to the property (including an enclosed area), as well as an outdoor warm-water shower and interior utility room to clean up after any sandy paws, the delights of Anglesey are just waiting to be explored.
The house is incredibly spacious and comfortable, with enough room to allow people and animals to have their own space, before bringing everyone together. The magnificent stone fireplace and wood burner is the focal point of the lounge, where you can choose to settle into a sofa with the newspaper, or perch on the window seat and admire the view. The long wooden dining table is perfect for both a lazy brunch or formal dinner, while in the corner a second wood burner warms the room and creates a cosy atmosphere. There is also a snooker room to keep all ages entertained. If you need a bit of peace and quiet away from the main party, head to the snug where you can watch TV while your dog settles down for an afternoon snooze. When the sun shines, ample outdoor space offers al fresco dining options overlooking the lawn.
Head to Trearddur Bay (1.5 miles) for the beach and a dog-friendly cafe. You can also follow the coast a short way south, where you’ll discover the sandy cove of Porth Diana (2 miles) where there are no restrictions and your canine companion can happily dip their paws in the waves. For dramatic coastal paths to suit everyone, wander through Breakwater Country Park (5 miles), an old quarry with spectacular views. Holyhead town centre is only a 3-mile drive away.
