A cosy cottage, perfect for those seeking a rural village location. Hognaston is a pure delight of beautiful old cottages and quiet country lanes.  Sloping ceilings and exposed beams make this a quaint and characterful stay with a delightful outdoor terrace for warm evenings.

For those who want a romantic country break but can’t bear to leave their beloved hound at home, this canine-friendly cottage is the ideal solution. Situated just 4.5 miles from the staggering Peak District, unforgettable walkies and scenery to die for will no doubt impress both man and dog. Perfect for a cosy couple and their furry third-wheel, this delightful property sleeps two guests and one dog.

A pretty stone house on a quiet village road, this country cottage has been renovated to strike the perfect balance between original charm and contemporary style. The open-plan living space combines lounge, dining room and kitchen and offers more than enough space for the three of you to unwind. Spend the evening relaxing in front of the Smart TV with your pup curled up alongside you, the room being warmed throughout by an electric wood burner. A romantic dinner can be enjoyed at the cosy dining table, or outdoors on the first-floor balcony where you can observe the bustling village beneath you.

Whilst lacking in a private garden, the vast countryside that surrounds you ensures your top dog will have plenty of space to run off some steam. Visit the Carsington Water reservoir just 2 miles away, where a circular 13.5-mile walk will certainly set tails wagging. The brink of the Peak District National Park can be found just 4.5 miles away and offers an abundance of rabbits to chase and sticks to fetch. This is a lovely, quaint little cottage with everything you need for a break away. It doesn't look much from the outside but once inside it shows it's true cosy character. It has a decent shower over a bath, although the towel rail didn't work, this wasn't an issue for us. The cottage kept cosy warm with the heaters & the electric fire downstairs. Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. The village itself is very pretty and quiet and the Red Lion public house next door is lovely, very welcoming and serves great food. An excellent location for visiting the Derbyshire dales.
