This delightful semi-detached cottage nestled just two miles from the coast oozes period charm alongside contemporary creature comforts, and provides a perfect retreat for families and couples alike.

This attractive 17th-century cottage situated on the North Cornwall coast is sure to impress dog lovers. With the South West Coast Path and the local dramatic scenery, you won’t be short of places to explore. Sleeping four guests in comfort across two restful bedrooms, one twin on the ground floor and a mezzanine-style super king-size bedroom, it serves as a cosy backdrop for a well-deserved escape to the west country with your dogs.

Evoking rural charm, many of the building’s original features have been retained inside and out. On arrival you will really fall in love with this authentic Cornish cottage; you will first encounter a welcoming split-level lounge where you can unwind and settle into the cosy seating to watch TV or read a book or two. The bucolic stable door really sets the scene in the compact, well-equipped kitchen. After a long day of touring the surrounding area, you can enjoy a long soak in the bath of the ground floor bathroom, followed by a sound sleep in the serene bedrooms. Step outside into the rear garden and enjoy some sunshine; spark up the BBQ and watch the dogs play. The property has ample private off-road parking.

The property is located in the lovely seaside village of Crackington Haven. There’s no shortage of dog-friendly places to visit in this area of North Cornwall. Unfortunately, there are access restrictions in place for dogs at the local beach between Easter Sunday and September 30th. This shouldn’t stop you having fun on the coast path or at the neighbouring beaches at Widemouth Bay (6 miles), Bude (9.5 miles) and Tintagel (10 miles) if you happen to be visiting in season. Visit the fabled ruins of Tintagel Castle (10 miles) with your hound as well as the famous village of Boscastle (6 miles) where you can learn about the story of the devastating flood of 2004. If you love long walks by the ocean and getting back to nature, this property is a superb choice.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 super-king-size and 1 twin
  • 1 shower room

  • Wood burner (first basket of logs included)

  • 2 dogs welcome (further by arrangement)
  • Beach, pub and café 2 miles

We had a lovely short break at AppleLoft which has everything you need for a short break. The owners had made sure that there was fresh milk and cookies when we arrived and bowls of fresh flowers. The smart TV and log burner were a real plus for the cold evenings and the extra large double bed upstairs so comfortable you dont want to get out of it.Read more The large garden is lovely to sit outside in the evenings. Very dog friendly too. I would highly recommend AppleLoft -its a lovely place to stay. Hide

Lovely cottage in beautiful setting, well proportioned with good sized bedrooms. Little tired and could benefit from an updating of bathroom and kitchen.

Lovely little cottage, well equipped and full of character. You definitely need a car to get around - the nearest pub is only a couple of miles away but it's an uphill walk back! The cottage and its garden were well kept and here was loads of info on what to do/where to go provided by the owner. Very dog friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Great cottage for dogs, although review should mention the access gate makes the garden enclosed completely around the property but Lane is on view. Lovely quiet location with only a short drive to Farm Shop / Restaurant

We loved the cottage , it is comfortable and welcoming and the upstairs bedroom, especially, is stunning- A lot of thought and care had gone into equipping it and there is everything you could want.

A beautiful comfy cottage. A very well equipped kitchen. Lovely to have a roaring fire even if it was the end of May but cold and raining outside. Walks for the dog were a bit limited going from the cottage but a great dog friendly beach map which came in really handy. Loads of local info in folder there. Definitely recommended it.
