The pretty marina is within 100 yards of the house, while the glorious, sandy beach is within 200 yards. The local authority does not permit dogs on the beach in the summer months, though there is an area at the northern end of the beach where they are allowed. Devil's Bridge Falls (12 miles) offers several choices of dog-friendly walks with varying degrees of difficulty through the woodland and by the rivers.
