This beautiful cottage nestles in a quiet village settling just one mile from the coast, boasts contemporary luxuries alongside period charm, and provides a comfortable base for families and couples alike.
Surrounded by open farmland and dramatic coastline, this exquisite cottage is perfect for outdoor-loving families, including two four-legged members. It sits on the edge of the pretty village of Kingston, occupying a small row of attractive 300-year-old cottages. Feel the breeze in your hair with walks on the South West Coast Path and sniff out secluded coves dotted along the glittering South Devon coastline.
Warm and welcoming, the cottage is beautifully decorated and retains many of its original features. Leave dirty boots and dog jackets in the utility room and wash off sand and mud in the handy wet room. Once you’ve freshened up, rest weary limbs and paws in the cosy lounge in front of the Smart TV and warming wood burner. Older children will love hiding out in the snug in the attic, with a Smart TV for company. Savour family suppers in the open-plan kitchen/diner or fire up the BBQ outside to dine alfresco in the enclosed garden, keeping the dogs occupied with a bone. The bedrooms are all upstairs and include a triple room with three single beds that are ideal for the kids.
From Kingston, stride out on a lovely dog-friendly walk along the coastal path, perhaps stopping off to splash around in the sea at Wonwell Beach (1.5 miles). For long hikes inland, drive 10 miles to Dartmoor to find an enticing mix of terrain to suit all levels of canine fitness. In Salcombe (13 miles), the kids can take part in water sports as you and your hounds watch on, before wolfing down fish and chips or a cooling ice cream.
