Set in the heart of Skipton with lots of fun things to find and discover - making an ideal retreat for a small family or couple.
This pretty cottage, in the bustling market town of Skipton, sleeps three guests and one four-legged chum. As well as numerous walks, ranging from canal-side saunters to challenging fell hikes, you’ll find some great dog-friendly attractions on your doorstep. Hop on a heritage steam train, just 5.5 miles away, or partake in a spot of fishing at Kilnsey Park (11.5 miles away).
The property is located in a peaceful area, beside the canal. The cottage has an open-plan layout, comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner. Beautiful exposed beams and feature stonework give the cottage character and charm. Snuggle up on the comfy sofas after an action-packed day, and lose yourself in a good book or a classic film. There is no outdoor space at this property, but with fabulous walking opportunities, such as Skipton Wood, just a stone’s throw from the property (less than 0.5 miles), it’s easy to find somewhere for the woofer to stretch their legs before breakfast.
Step back in time aboard one of the Embsay and Bolton Abbey heritage steam trains and enjoy a majestic 4-mile jaunt through the countryside. You and the hound can hop off along the way for a relaxing 1.5-mile stroll to the ruins of Bolton Abbey. There’s plenty to fill a day at Kilnsey Park, including fishing, nature trails and wildlife spotting (look out for red squirrels while there). Canine visitors are welcome on leads. Skipton Woods is a lovely, peaceful spot for a little stroll. A network of paths wind through the 36 acres of ancient woodland and it’s a great place for the pup on a hot day, as there’s plenty of shade.
