Convenient ground floor apartment located in the stunning village of Lynmouth, with the connecting village of Lynton just up the hill, this is the perfect location for couples to explore North Devon.

Set within Exmoor National Park, this cosy bolthole is ideal for keen walkers – including four-pawed ones. Many routes are available directly from your front door, taking in picturesque scenery such as the Valley of the Rocks and Watersmeet Gorge, so morning walkies are easily sorted. And you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your apartment to enjoy calming waterside views.

Inside, the contemporary lounge is a lovely place to relax after a busy day exploring and boasts splendid views across the river. Cosy evenings in can be spent in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire watching the Smart TV and massaging Fido’s head. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook up a romantic meal for two – or should that be three? When your day is done, get the furry one settled on his favourite blanket before you dive under the covers in the spacious double bedroom. While the property doesn’t have its own parking space, you can leave your car in one of the town’s public car parks or on the roadside nearby.

Popularly known as Little Switzerland, Lynmouth town centre is a mere 100-metre walk down the hill. It offers a choice of dog-friendly pubs and cafes if you fancy eating out. Dogs are also allowed on Lynmouth Beach all year round, as well as the historic funicular cliff railway that connects the town with Lynton. Head inland to explore the wild terrain of the surrounding East Lyn Valley, where the 19th-century novel, Lorna Doone, was set or explore the National Trust property of Arlington Court (12 miles) where canines on leads are welcome in the carriage museum and gardens.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We enjoyed the location of the cottage as it is central for many great days out and lovely morning walks in the morning on all directions. The only down side is that if you are a light sleeper, the bedroom is literally level with the main road and the close proximity and speed of the cars can be disturbing

We had a lovely stay, the property was great for the two of us and the dog. Its a pity there is no outside space at all but the beach and riverside walks are so close its not a major issue.

Clean comfortable and nicely decorated, Very comfortable bed. Very good location, plenty to do. Great walks and we had a very good meal at the rising sun pub. Lots of other pubs nearby, but not there long enough to try them all!

I would highly recommend this property. It was the perfect size for the two of us. The apartment was nicely decorated and well heated. The apartment was mostly clean. Overall, it was a lovely apartment and we enjoyed our stay. The property was in an excellent location for walking - I would particularly recommend walking along the river to WatersmeeRead moret and walking along the coast to the Valley of the Rocks. Thank you for an enjoyable stay, I would return here again. Richard and Bennath Hide

Beautiful views right out the front door and lounge window. Warm and bright interior feeling welcoming and comfortable. Property opens onto the road but as it is a quiet road this caused no issues at all for us or the pooch. Village is a lovely place and well located and we look forward to returning.
