Relax in this pretty country cottage which is perfect for couples and small families wanting a peaceful, rural getaway in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside.
This charming property, surrounded by open countryside, sleeps four guests and one medium-sized pup or two small canine friends. You’ll have access to footpaths and bridleways from the cottage so you can enjoy a relaxing stroll with the hound before breakfast. As well as the Lincolnshire Wolds at your fingertips (and pawtips), you can also hop in the car and head to the coast, just 10 miles away, where you’ll find long stretches of golden sand.
Located on a working farm, this homely cottage has a fabulous country-style kitchen/diner, where you can gather for a hearty meal after a day of exploring. After dinner, snuggle up in the cosy lounge with Fido curled at your feet, and chat over a glass of wine or relax in front of the TV. Outside, you can enjoy al fresco dining on the picnic bench and marvel at the vast array of local wildlife. There is an unfenced lawn surrounding the property, where your four-legged pal can stretch their legs, and you’re also welcome to walk in the owner’s fields (see Need to Know for details).
The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers some of the most beautiful, unspoilt scenery in the region. Join the Lincs Wold Way in Louth, 13 miles away. The 76-mile circular route winds through rolling hills and hidden valleys and is broken down into manageable day-long segments. At the coast, the family-friendly resort of Chapel St Leonards makes a great day out (10.5 miles away). The beach stretches for miles, with only a small dog restriction in summer, and there are some delightful woof-friendly eateries. Alternatively, the rural beach at Moggs Eye (9.5 miles away) is also great for four-legged friends; they can charge around in the dunes and play on the wide strip of golden sand.
