This is an ideal cottage for a family getaway comprising six humans and two accompanying canines in a peaceful spot in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Sniff out adventures on the wide range of walks available from the front door that wind into the undulating countryside, visit picturesque towns and villages and explore the many attractions within easy reach.
This spacious and traditionally styled cottage has sneck doors and beamed ceilings and combines both charm and practicality. Get cosy in the lounge while you let sleeping dogs lie in front of the wood burner or cook up a storm in the country-style kitchen which boasts a large range cooker and a breakfast bar. A games room houses an air hockey table, the perfect place to get competitive in the evenings. Upstairs, you will find a superb master king-size bedroom with a grand en-suite, a separate bathroom and two more bedrooms: another king-size and a twin. Outside in the garden is a patio area with furniture, ideal for al fresco dining, and though it is not completely enclosed, well-behaved dogs can safely explore.
Set in a tranquil spot, this home really feels away from it all, yet you will have the chocolate-box villages of Threshfield and Grassington just 1 mile and 1.5 miles away respectively. Here, you will find a selection of shops and dog-friendly pubs. Take a stroll at Linton Falls (2 miles) and use the stepping stones over the River Wharfe, which is a brilliant circular walk all year round. Another fabulous walking spot is Malham Cove (12 miles), a large, curved limestone formation, close to the magical waterfall, Janet’s Foss. For history lovers, enjoy a fabulous family day out to Bolton Abbey (10.5 miles), the Yorkshire estate of the Duke of Devonshire.
