Sitting in the seaside town of Torquay, this lovingly-restored Victorian home is a fabulous base if you want to swap the hustle and bustle of city life for some quality time by the sea. Sleeping ten people across five bedrooms and welcoming two faithful friends, it’s the ideal accommodation option for large families or groups of friends who want to celebrate a special occasion. Take your pups on some long walks along Babbacombe Beach, and in the evening come home to take a well-deserved dip in the cottage’s outdoor hot tub (available from Easter until 31st October).

Step inside the historic home and you’ll be struck by how carefully the interior has been restored to its original grandeur. Take a moment to make yourself at home by the wood burner in the large, double-aspect living room, before heading to the sleek kitchen to show off your culinary skills. Gather everyone around the kitchen table to dine, or hold a more formal dinner in the chic conservatory. Alternatively, head out onto the outdoor terrace to fire up the seasonal  coal BBQ or wood fired pizza oven and dine alfresco. After dinner, go to the living room to snuggle up with your pups in front of the wood burner, or make a beeline to the outdoor hot tub for a relaxing soak. When it’s time for bed, there are five gorgeous bedrooms to choose from.

Your pups will adore going for walkies at Astey’s Cove (1 mile) – a pretty beach with views across Lyme Bay. Dogs are welcome there all year round. Alternatively, take them for a stroll through the lovely gardens and woodlands of Cockington Country Park''s (3 miles). Your pups are also welcome to join you in the cafe there.

We all loved the informality of this lovely house, we especially appreciated that our 2 dogs were welcome. The huge TV in the dining room was also much appreciated for our sports mad family. The cellar, hot tub and pool table were very popular and much enjoyed. The owner was very helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great to have 5 en suite bedrooms, super coffee machine, lack of work space in kitchen, but well stocked with pots and pans. Super hot tub
