Overflowing with charm, this beautiful retreat sits on a working farm just 1 mile outside the quaint village of Cemmaes in the heart of Mid Wales. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, it’s the perfect accommodation option for small families or groups of friends. Spend happy days discovering the delights of the Snowdonia National Park with your pups by your side, and cosy evenings relaxing by the cottage’s wood burner with your well-walked dogs snoozing at your feet.
Step inside this charming inverted-level cottage and you’ll find yourself on an oak staircase leading up to an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that makes the very most of the wonderful valley views. Make yourself at home in this light and spacious area before heading to the kitchen to cook up a feast for your loved ones. Get the whole gang together to eat at the dining table. Alternatively, head outside onto the patio, fire up the disposable BBQ and dine alfresco. The garden is enclosed, so your pups can run free while you dine. After dinner, head to the lounge area and catch up on your favourite TV shows while your faithful friends stretch out in front of the glowing wood burner. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms with beamed ceilings downstairs.
If you head into the pretty town of Machynlleth (6 miles) on a Wednesday, you can take your pups for a stroll around the weekly market on Maengwyn Street. Alternatively, pack up a picnic and go for walkies at Dyffryn Beach (17 miles). Dogs are welcome on select areas of the beach all year round and you might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the local dolphins.
