Property code: OC-WAD305

Overflowing with charm, this beautiful retreat sits on a working farm just 1 mile outside the quaint village of Cemmaes in the heart of Mid Wales. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, it’s the perfect accommodation option for small families or groups of friends. Spend happy days discovering the delights of the Snowdonia National Park with your pups by your side, and cosy evenings relaxing by the cottage’s wood burner with your well-walked dogs snoozing at your feet.

Step inside this charming inverted-level cottage and you’ll find yourself on an oak staircase leading up to an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that makes the very most of the wonderful valley views. Make yourself at home in this light and spacious area before heading to the kitchen to cook up a feast for your loved ones. Get the whole gang together to eat at the dining table. Alternatively, head outside onto the patio, fire up the disposable BBQ and dine alfresco. The garden is enclosed, so your pups can run free while you dine. After dinner, head to the lounge area and catch up on your favourite TV shows while your faithful friends stretch out in front of the glowing wood burner. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms with beamed ceilings downstairs.

If you head into the pretty town of Machynlleth (6 miles) on a Wednesday, you can take your pups for a stroll around the weekly market on Maengwyn Street. Alternatively, pack up a picnic and go for walkies at Dyffryn Beach (17 miles). Dogs are welcome on select areas of the beach all year round and you might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the local dolphins.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Great location, fantastic facilities, enclosed garden that the dogs loved and was a weight off our minds knowing they were safe. We were very lucky with the weather and loads of military planes going over, simply couldnt have asked for more. We will definitely be back again.

Kate and Ben could not have been more welcoming, flexible and accommodating. We loved our stay at Ty Wennol- what a great little find. A perfect base for a few days exploring a beautiful part of Wales, and we really enjoyed spotting some F35s and Typhoons whizzing through the Mach Loop in the valley opposite! Thanks Kate and Ben, we will be back.

This is a sweet little cottage. Clean, cosy and comfortable. Perfect for our Christmas visit to family that live in the village. Its worth noting that the cottage is quiet close to the road, not a problem for us (and the views are still great), but that might not suit everyone. I will definitely book again.

This is a lovely cottage in the beautiful Dovey valley. It was a bonus to have a field to run the dogs in. The cottage is super warm and cozy. The living area is upstairs which gives you views across the valley and the chance to see the low flying aircraft. The Penrhos Arms is only just up the road and has a friendly atmosphere, also serves food.
