Surrounded by beautiful countryside that’s perfect for long walks, this rural escape is the ideal choice for a romantic break. After a day spent exploring the fabulous East Anglian coast and countryside, you can relax in the welcoming lounge and enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in the super-king-size bed.
A lovely combination of original features and modern comforts creates an inviting ambience in this open-plan barn retreat. Built in the early 1800s, it features exposed brickwork and green-oak beams that partially separate the bedroom, with underfloor heating for a cosy feel at any time of the year. The living space features a kitchen area with plenty of cupboard and prep space, and includes both a microwave and a dishwasher to make life easy. Snuggle into the leather sofa and enjoy watching the TV and DVD and, at bedtime, enjoy the luxury of Egyptian cotton bed linens. The super-king-size bed can be converted to two singles if requested in advance. The interior is completed by an elegant en-suite shower room. In terms of outside space, you can relax on the small bench just outside your barn, plus you have access to the shared pond area and gardens, where there’s a patio with a table and chairs and lovely rural views. For rainy days or after-supper fun, head to the shared games room.
The barn is located in the Suffolk village of All Saints South Elmham, 5 miles from the charming market town of Halesworth, where you’ll find historic buildings and an intriguing variety of shops. You can reach Beccles, known as the gateway to the Norfolk Broads, in 11.5 miles, while Southwold and the coast are just 13.5 miles - explore the town’s beaches, pier and places to eat and drink, not forgetting to try some fresh, local seafood.
