See your best furry friend’s ears prick up when you step out of this delightful cottage on the edge of Padstow. Well located for beautiful countryside and coastal walks, the two-bedroom Cornish holiday home sleeps four guests and is happy to welcome their canine companions as well. Just 0.5 miles from the largely traffic-free Camel Trail, the property is also ideal for days out to dog-friendly beaches and long lunches in pubs that are only too pleased to greet four-legged customers.
Enter at ground-floor level, taking 12 steps up to reach the front door. Rub sandy paws down as you come in, then pop the towel straight into the washing machine in the utility room. Make your way through to the lounge/diner, where you and your cheerful chum can relax for a spell to enjoy the glorious rural views or in front of the Smart TV. Wander through to the kitchen to fill up your pup’s bowl and make yourself a cup of fresh coffee from the machine, before preparing a homecooked meal to enjoy the table in the lounge/diner. As night falls, make your way up to the first floor, where a king-size bedroom and a twin each have another Smart TV, and where there is a family bathroom. Soak up the sunshine or grill supper on the BBQ out on the patio with your contented canine by your side. There is parking for two cars at the cottage and a secure spot for locking bicycles up on the patio.
Follow the Camel Trail alongside the river in either direction. A 2-mile stroll will take you to Harbour Cove, one of the beautiful beaches in this area where pups can bound free all year round. Harlyn, 3 miles away, is another great place for families and their happy hounds.
