With a pleasant high street, mystical woodlands and a stretching canal offering plenty of easy footpaths to follow, Skipton is an exceptional place to visit with your four-pawed pal. Stay in this fantastically central cottage that’s just a stone’s throw from the town’s many offerings, including an abundance of dog-friendly pubs and even a dog cafe (500 metres). The property itself is a handsome terrace with plenty of open-plan space to relax inside, happily hosting a pack of four human guests and one beloved bow-wow.

Step off the cobbled street and into this property, leaving coats, boots and leads in the hallway as you venture inside. The open-plan living space is set out in an L shape with a fully equipped kitchen, a space for dining and an inviting lounge. Let Fido curl up at your feet as you relax on the sofa, switching on the TV or watching as life passes by at the window. Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms and a family bathroom, ideal for catching those forty winks after long dog walks, and downstairs you’ll discover a games room with a pool table. At the back of the property, a small courtyard provides a spot to sit out with a morning coffee.

With the canal basin less than half a mile and Skipton Woods less than 1 mile, you really can leave the car behind and lead the way to adventure. Famously known as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, Skipton is well positioned for discovering all the wonders of Yorkshire’s sprawling National Park close by. Pack a tennis ball or two and step out to explore the beautiful ruins at Bolton Abbey, walks along the River Wharf (both 6 miles) and the rewarding hike up to Rylstone Cross (5 miles).

cosy cottage with two bedrooms on a quaint cobbled street in the centre of Skipton, an ideal base for walking in the Dales and a perfect location near the pubs, restaurants and other amenities

Craven cottage was perfect for our holiday in Skipton, The cottage was very well located for Skipton town centre, it was well equipped, immaculately clean and the beds were very comfortable, we have family nearby and plan to visit Skipton 3/4 times per year, we will be booking this property again if it is available when we visit.

Excellent location especially if you don't have a car. Station 10 minutes walk away. High Street only a few metres away.

Such a nice place. Perfect location. Everything in skipton is within walking distance. The cottage was extremely comfortable. I would most definitely stay here again.
